Raising Awareness to Support Prevention

As Wood's Warriors, we are fighting to support Suicide Awareness and Prevention. Our group banded together to turn a heartbreaking tragedy into a mission to help others. With the rates of active duty military, veterans and young adults dying by suicide, our goal is to spread awareness. Through awareness, we are hoping to raise prevention also. One way of doing this is to support high school students going into a mental health field so they will one day help many others. Our push for change began the day our own loved one died by suicide. We are committed to helping others in hopes no mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, grandparent or friend must endure the pain of losing their loved one. More so our mission is to normalize the discussion, allowing those having thoughts of suicide the freedom to speak about it.
